TIME : SPACE
Consisting of three elements, Young Living, Seed Discs, and Windmill, the artworks were commissioned by the Adelaide City Council for the Hutt Street Entryway.Young Living symbolizes growth and transformation, inviting the public to witness the organic fusion of eucalyptus saplings over the course of time for generations to come. Seed Discs illuminate the native grass seeds, paying homage to the land's endemic flora while Windmill bridges cultural narratives with environmental awareness.
Each of the works are living artworks, with plantings of native grasses and shrubs being integral elements of Windmill and Seed Discs. In time the illuminated Seed Discs will float in a sea of native foliage.Young Living is an experimental work encouraging three dwarf lemon scented gums (Corymbia citrodora Scentuous) to fuse through the natural process of inosculation.
